Second Grade Highlights Famous Historic Figures
February 14, 2010

Historic figures came to life at Saint Gregory’s School on Friday, February 12. Second grade students presented information, fun facts, and stories about famous people from the past. Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Abe Lincoln were among the former presidents featured. Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin told stories of their inventions while Walt Disney and Harry Houdini spoke of their desire to entertain and delight people all over the world. Last but not least was a visit from Astronaut Neil Armstrong who shared stories, pictures, and a radio broadcast from his first steps on the moon. The boys in second grade have been researching and writing about their heroes for the month of February. Parents, friends, and faculty enjoyed the Living Museum and learned a few new facts about famous personalities from the past.
