Saint Gregory’s Mothers’ Association
The Mothers’ Association is instrumental in making the Saint Gregory’s experience very special for our children. Our purpose is to enhance the strong partnership among the students, parents, and the School. Through an array of fundraising activities, membership dues, and volunteer efforts, we support our faculty, improve the School’s resources, and strengthen the Saint Gregory’s community from our grandparents to our alumni. We welcome and encourage all mothers to be involved in the Association.

Some of the many events the Mothers’ Association offers are described below.
New Parents Welcome Coffee
This event, held the day before the first day of school, provides an opportunity for new students and their parents to become more acquainted with the School, teachers, and each other. Kindergarten parents and students are also welcome.
Fall Spruce-up
In the fall, mothers gather to weed and plant. We usually plant mums in early September and some bulbs for spring blooming.
Fall Book Fair
For two weeks in September, the Kopp Wing is transformed into a book haven for students and parents to enjoy. The fair is open during the day and in the evenings during parent orientations.
Parent Orientations
The school hosts parent orientations Lower School, Fifth Grade, Upper School. The evening begins with a brief presentation by the Headmaster; parents then go to their child’s classroom to meet the teachers and learn about the class curriculum and procedures. The Mothers' Association provides refreshments and snacks.
Student Pictures
Each year parents are given the opportunity to order student pictures; class pictures are available as well. Mothers help coordinate picture day in October and retakes in December.
Moveable Feast
This is a major fundraiser for the Association and takes place every other year. Parents, faculty and staff are invited to attend. The evening begins with cocktails all together and then everyone splits off to attend dinner at the home of a host family from their class. It is a wonderful evening, full of fun and friendship, and also a great venue for parents to get acquainted.
Mother and Child Dinner
This annual event is a great evening for kindergarten through eighth grade mothers and their children to enjoy dinner, dancing, games, and prizes with special honor for the eighth grade mothers and their sons.
Faculty and Staff Luncheons

A night to celebrate literature! After reading a book and participating in a group discussion, students and parents have dinner and enjoy activities together.
Grandparents and Special Persons Day
Every spring, grandparents and special friends are invited to Saint Gregory's to see the school and enjoy a performance by the students. Following a light breakfast buffet hosted by the Mothers’ Association, a musical program is performed by all grades and guests view a beautiful exhibit of student artwork. After that, grandparents and special persons visit the classrooms and everyone is dismissed by noon.
Annual Dinner Meeting
This meeting is a celebration of all of the activities and events of the past year. It is an evening for mothers to reflect on the year, to congratulate the people who took on leadership roles, and to welcome a new slate of officers.
Fathers’ Association
The Father’s Association was established to meet the needs of the Athletic Department and Saint Gregory’s School. The boys compete interscholastically in soccer, basketball, and track and field. The fall intramural soccer program for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys has provided not only excitement for those involved but has proven to be a great way for parents to become acquainted with each other. The Association has enhanced the physical education program by supporting cross-country skiing, and lacrosse.
The Fathers’ Association sponsors a variety of events throughout the school year:
