Giving Back

"I support Saint Gregory’s because of the wonderful experiences that my son and family had while he was a student here. The relationships that my son forged here with other outstanding young men continue to be as strong as, if not stronger than, when he was at Saint Gregory’s seven years ago."

Mr. Ken Raymond
Second Vice President
Saint Gregory’s Board of Trustees

Saint Gregory’s School is a non-profit independent school and is funded only by tuition revenue and by charitable contributions. This independence, as granted by absolute charter by The New York State Board of Regents and as confirmed by the New York State Association of Independent Schools, allows Saint Gregory’s to follow its stated mission. However, the cost of tuition does not fully cover the powerful education that children receive here, and therefore charitable donations from the community to the School greatly enhance the experience for students. Donations to Saint Gregory’s are tax-deductible and donors may choose to remain anonymous if they so desire.

fundraising givingGifts to Saint Gregory’s School can be made in many ways including unrestricted gifts, underwriting, gifts in kind, and restricted gifts. There are also a variety of fund-raising opportunities through the Mothers’ Association and in the annual Gala and auction.

Annual Giving
Each year, the Saint Gregory’s community, parents, past parents, alumni, teachers, and friends support the School through Annual Giving. These donations add value to the high quality educational experience found at our School, and they make up the difference between tuition revenue and the actual cost of running the School. Participation of all constituents is crucial to the success of Annual Giving. The Annual Giving campaign begins on July 1 and concludes on June 30 the following year.

"The Cornerstone Campaign"
Saint Gregory’s has recently embarked on a capital campaign, The Cornerstone Campaign, which is designed to improve various aspects of our School. The four main priorities of The Cornerstone Campaign are to improve the physical plant, to upgrade our technology, to improve our website, and to elevate the marketing and advertising presence in the Capital Region. We are looking to present parents, past parents, and alumni to contribute to this exciting and important campaign.

General Fundraising
There are several ways to support Saint Gregory’s through regular fundraisers that can provide donors with products, from books to wrapping paper, or with a fun night out in the company of fellow Saint Gregory’s parents, alumni, and teachers. The Scholastic Book Fair and The Sally Foster Gift Wrap fundraisers bring a percentage of the income generated by sales directly to the School, and the annual Spring Auction and Gala is a delightful evening of support for the spirit of Saint Gregory’s.
