Miss Elizabeth Thayer

Miss Elizabeth Thayer began teaching in 1978 and has taught 3rd grade and 2nd grade Religion at Saint Gregory’s since 1999. She oversees the 2nd grade’s first Reconciliation and Eucharist and is the Faculty Representative to the Board of Trustees. She participates in the Juvenile Diabetes Walk for a Cure and the Albany Medical Center’s Annual Christmas Project. She enjoys woodworking, reading, sewing, skiing, and traveling.

"Teaching at Saint Gregory's allows me to work with each student to reach his full potential. I am allowed to use creative techniques to teach and motivate my students. Here, there is always a focus on the needs of the student as a child. I also, like working here as I have the opportunity to see students develop a relationship with God and then put their beliefs into action. Saint Gregory's students, parents and faculty have shared goals and expectations giving us a true family atmosphere where a child develops."
