Mrs. Joanne McLeod

Mrs. Joanne McLeod is the Director of Alumni Relations, a fitting position after her thirty-seven year career of educating Saint Gregory’s students. Her involvement in our School spanned all levels and all responsibilities; from classroom teacher to subject teacher, to division head to assistant head. She has been involved in every aspect of Saint Gregory’s possible. She enjoys music, reading, and travel and she is the Treasurer of the Waterford Public Library.

"Even though there have been many changes at Saint Gregory’s since I arrived in 1969, three areas have remained consistent:  the wonderful, creative mischievous boys; the continued emphasis on academic excellence; and the supportive relationship among administration, teachers and parents. There are several factors that make Saint Gregory’s unique, but two meant the most to me: the strong familial atmosphere and being a single-sex school that has provided the best teaching methodology needed to meet the needs of boys. The results speak for themselves. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to see many of the boys mature into men of whom Saint Gregory’s can be proud. It was always a wonderful experience to teach the sons of the alumni and realize that ‘the apples don’t fall far from the trees.’  Saint Gregory’s has been and is an important part of my life; it has provided a treasure chest of memories."
