The Admissions Process - Step By Step

Saint Gregory’s School provides a rigorous academic program and enrolls students of all religions and races. The admissions process is designed to ensure the right match between the School and the student. The Headmaster serves as the Director of Admissions and establishes a close working relationship with parents.

  • Initial Visit – Parents are encouraged to visit the School, tour the facility, and meet with the Headmaster and appropriate teachers. Open Houses are scheduled regularly throughout the school year, yet families may request a personal tour at their convenience. To arrange a tour call (518) 785-6621.

  • Application – Parents are required to file an application accompanied by an application fee of $50. To download an application click here.

  • Student Visit – As part of the application process, we require that every candidate for admissions visit the School during the school day. This could be an hour-long visit with the teacher in the primary grades to a day-long visit for older students, during which time teachers informally assess the students’ readiness for the curriculum.

  • Records – Saint Gregory’s requires records from the student’s current school prior to acceptance. These records include academic records, standardized test scores, attendance records, health records, teacher recommendations and educational evaluations where appropriate.

  • Acceptance – Upon acceptance, a tuition deposit of $500 must be submitted promptly. Students are enrolled for the entire year or, in the case of late registration, for the unexpired balance of the school year. No reduction in tuition charges is made for absence or withdrawal.
